Do you have unwanted household items stuck in your storage closet that is taking up a little too much space? Instead of dropping it off at goodwill, what if you took it somewhere local that gives back to people in need? Central Furniture Rescue is a nonprofit organization RIGHT HERE in Cedar Rapids, ran 100% on volunteers from our community. They take donated unwanted furniture and household items. Then they provide them to clients referred to them who are transitioning from homelessness into a place to live. These people are furnished with all the items donated from you all. How. AMAZING. If you don’t have things to give they also take donations. You can also sign up to volunteer!
